Learn Spanish with Universidad de los Andes: communicate confidently in personal, professional, and academic settings. Spanish as a Foreign Language program (ELE, or Español como Lengua Extranjera) allows you to learn on your schedule: semester courses (January-May, August-November) or an intensive program in July. Progress through four levels, from beginner to advanced, at your own pace. Go beyond language: immerse yourself in the culture and social dynamics of Colombia and Latin America.

New students enrolling are required to take the placement test to register for Spanish as a Foreign Language at any level.

  3. The course will only open if the required minimum enrollment is met.

  4. Your classmates will be regular undergraduate or graduate students.

  5. The Office of Educación Continua will issue enrollment certificates upon prior request.
